馬尼拉經濟文化辦事處（MECO）理事主席培瑞斯8日晚間抵達外交部，與部長林永樂進行一個小時會面。他在離開時接受媒體訪問，強調本次來台，明顯感受到台媒友善的態度，廣大興案暫告段落，未來雙方將就漁業會談持續努力。
培瑞斯上午抵台，隨後赴屏東小琉球，向受害者洪石成家屬表達歉意，晚間再北上外交部，與林永樂會面。
培瑞斯在進入外交部前表示，他已代表菲方，正式向洪家家屬道歉。
在結束一個小時的會談，培瑞茲驅車離開，強調這次來台，能感受到媒體態度的改變，未來雙方會就漁業會談部分繼續努力。
