中華隊雖然無緣2014年世界盃，新任台灣隊長「野獸」林志傑率隊揮軍4強，個人表現也備受肯定，獲選2013年亞錦賽「最佳五人」！
林志傑本屆賽會平均每場10.7分、3.8籃板、4.9助攻，雖然受踝傷困擾，最後2場比賽表現不佳，可不能抹滅他在兩階段預賽關鍵戰役的「神威」。
開幕戰對約旦，林志傑全場27分、6籃板、5助攻，對菲律賓一役，繳出「小三元」20分、12助攻、9籃板，對日本也有16分、6籃板。
8強賽對中國，林志傑第4節重現「野獸」狂野球風，連得10分，全場17分、7助攻，率領中華隊在亞錦賽史首度攻破「紅色長城」。
其他最佳五人分別為菲律賓Jayson William、南韓金敏九、伊朗「亞洲第一中鋒」Hamed Haddadi與其隊友Oshin Sahakian。
