外埔區紅龍果第一產銷班，品質優異，曾越洋銷日本而聲名大噪，迄今新加坡再下三千粒紅龍果訂單，十月中旬可望出貨。記者陳榮昌／攝

台中市外埔紅龍果產銷第一班知名度享譽國際，目前接到新加坡訂單，一口氣要三千粒紅龍果，預訂十月中可裝船出貨，由於有不錯的價碼，令班員十分興奮。
紅龍果原是一項價低的農產品，價格低廉、銷銷不佳，外埔種植紅果第一班，作物要有好價格，就要有好品質，因此前班長范振清接受改良場專家輔導、並多次做全國觀摩，朝有機種植加上合理施肥的結果，有極大的突破，原一粒紅龍果約六兩重，但該班卻出現二斤重量，果質水份皆佳。
外埔紅龍果的銷售價格，猛然提升，且有信心的銷售日本，奈何三年前多次申請， 總停留海關無法出貨，直至台中市長胡志強的協助而能順利出貨，紅龍果突圍而出，銷至日本，好口味的紅龍果即一炮而紅，可惜隔年因311天災使然，停止出貨。不過好的品質及好口碑，在台灣拍賣市場，就出現一斤三百多元的天價，尤其外埔的貨量一到拍賣場，就有中盤商搶著要，可說「紅不讓」。
繼日本訂購外埔紅龍果之後，今年新加坡再來訂單，要三千粒紅龍果，每粒在十四兩間，一公斤八十元之間，這是好價，也是台灣農作物的榮耀。范振清說，約十月中旬可出貨，而在這出貨的幾天中，班員不敢掉以輕心的注意施肥、保護原有的高品質，希望與新加坡完成這次交易後，能帶動其他國家的訂單，更希望台灣的農作物順勢推往國外，讓農民都有好的收益。
