署立新營醫院北門分院13死59傷縱火案，被告林基雄雖是癌症末期病患，但一審時向法官嗆聲「燒死就燒死，我就沒有死，收押就收押」，遭判死刑，全案上訴台南高分院審理，林雖稍具悔意向法官請求不要判死，但法官認為根本找不到可以原諒他的理由，昨天仍維持一審死刑判決。
