日外海新火山島　開始與附近島嶼合體

【李忠謙／綜合外電報導】日本上個月因海底火山噴發，在小笠原群島的「西之島」旁形成一個新的火山島。共同社稱，這個不斷變大的小島已經開始和一旁的西之島合體。

日本海上保安廳25日在西之島上空偵察時發現，新形成的小島已有兩處與西之島接壤。根據共同社的說法，海上保安廳24日偵察時，這兩個島嶼最接近處也還有10公尺左右的距離，沒想到才過了一天，兩島就開始合體。

根據海上保安廳發佈的消息，新島有兩處火山口，約每30秒至1分鐘就會噴發1次，噴發出的煙霧與瓦斯大約有100公尺高。海上保安廳也呼籲在附近航行的船舶多加注意。
