高鐵編號Train 122列車，上午9點39分由台中發車直達台北，不料大約10點左右突然停滯不前，卡在高鐵新竹站前的軌道上，列車長透過廣播系統及跑馬燈向車上乘客解釋「苗栗到新竹間電力異常，工程人員正在搶修」，車上乘客王先生表示，「多次搭乘高鐵竟會碰上這種事，等一下到台北一定要去買刮刮樂！」
 
乘客在車廂內議論紛紛，幸好車內電力系統及空調設備未受影響，經工程人員緊急搶修，列車在10點21分恢復行駛，將延遲25分鐘抵達台北。（王煌忠／台中報導）
