希梅尼茲金鶯初登板　遭紅襪砲轟

金鶯本季花5000萬美元(4年，約1.52億台幣)簽下先發投手希梅尼茲(Ubaldo Jimenez)，今天首度在季賽亮相，結果遭紅襪中心打線「老爹」歐提茲(David Ortiz)、拿坡里(Mike Napoli)各賞1發2分砲，最後金鶯2比6敗給紅襪。
 
有別開幕戰低比分投手戰，今2隊互飆全壘打，金鶯另1名新朋友外野手克魯茲(Nelson Cruz)，也在4局轟出2分全壘打，一度幫助球隊追平比數，這也是克魯茲連續2場開轟。
 
金鶯總教練蕭華特(Buck Showalter)賽後對希梅尼茲表現仍滿意：「他投的很棒啊，只是今天犯的錯可能比雷奇(John Lackey，紅襪先發)多了一點，但我整體看到的優點還是大於缺點。」
