美國國防部24日宣布，取消正在進行的美泰聯合軍演，與官員訪問泰國的計畫。發言人柯比少將說：「雖然我軍與泰國軍方關係一向良好，但基於民主原則和法律，我們必須重新考慮美國對泰國的軍事援助與交往關係。」
