人皮封面書　就在哈佛圖書館

美國哈佛大學圖書館證實，圖書館收藏的一本19世紀書本，封面由人皮製成，是圖書館迄今為止證實的唯一人皮書。

據《中新社》報導，近日科學家們通過一系列的測試證實，19世紀法國作家豪賽(Arsene Houssaye)所著一本書，其封面物料可以99.9%確信為人類皮膚。該校圖書館稱，該書關於「死後靈魂和生命的冥想」，作者在1880年中期將這本書送給他愛書的醫生朋友鮑蘭德(Ludovic Bouland)。圖書館稱，鮑蘭德收到這本書後，用人皮裝訂了該書封面，據稱人皮來自一位死於中風女精神病人的無人認領屍體。

在書中，鮑蘭德留下了一張字條，說「這本書用人皮訂裝，沒有任何裝飾以保持其優雅氣質」、「仔細觀察，你能很容易地辨別出人皮上的毛孔」。他還寫道，「這是一本關於人類靈魂的圖書，值得用人類的皮膚保護」、「這塊人皮來自於一位婦女的背部」等。（施旖婕／綜合外電報導）
