紅雀隊打者把紅人投手當作餵球機，敲出19支安打、灌進15分。紅雀隊以15比2大勝紅人，得分創下近20年對戰新高。
7月份紅雀隊只擊出9支全壘打，明星賽後更只有1發，但最近3天，他們在紅人隊主場共轟出6發紅不讓，三連戰拿下2勝1敗優勢。
這場瘋狂打擊秀，紅雀先發打線，除了第9棒投手Lance Lynn之外，其他8人都至少有2安打、1打點。Matt Adams、David Freese、以及Tony Cruz各擊出一支全壘打。
Lynn雖然沒打安打，但「本業」表現不錯，投8局被敲4安、失2分，拿下本季第13勝。「今天我的四種球路，都發揮得不錯，」Lynn說，「我運用這些不同球路，攻擊好球帶兩側，投來更加輕鬆。」
此役敗投是Mike Leake，開賽才投19球，已經陷入0比4落後。Matt Holliday、Freese兩支帶有打點的二壘打之後，Adams敲出兩分砲，痛擊Leake。 (接下一頁)
