台灣好手盧彥勳，法網第一輪敗給地主選手Adrian Mannarino。至於拜華裔好手張德培為師的日本選手錦織圭，也在第一輪止步。

盧彥勳發生22次非受迫性失誤，對手只有9次，而且盧彥勳的第一發得分率62%，也不如對手的76%。結果盧彥勳以2:6、1:6、1:6輸球。

大會第9種子、世界排名第十的錦織圭，第一輪以0比3敗給斯洛伐克Martin Klizan。「真的很失望，」錦織說，「最近我在紅土球場打得不錯，結果第一輪就出局，很難過。」

Klizan是2006年法網青少年組男單冠軍，這是他第二次打敗世界前10。
